NaBloPoMo stands for National Blog Posting Month. Or at least, I think it does. All these abbreviated words get pretty silly. Last month I attempted NaNoWriMo, which is short for National Novel Writing Month, and it was an epic failure. I wrote about a page and a half of a “novel” and got the bare bones of a story in my head, but between work, school, finals, and traveling every single weekend, I think I was doomed from the start.
Now that it’s been winter break for all of 36 hours, I find myself with nothing but time! I thought NaBloPoMo might be worth a try. The goal is to post on your blog every day for a month. While I missed the traditional start date, I think Dec. 14-Jan 14 suits my schedule perfectly.
I’m including a few pictures from our “anniversary” weekend in Portland, ME, because that’s where I left off on blogging the weekend trips. It was such a wonderful weekend getaway, just relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. I sort of wanted to skip it this year because of school stress, but I’m glad we didn’t. It reminded me how important it is to take the time to cherish each other, even and especially when it feels like life getting in the way.
