There are a bunch of pictures from my recent travels on Flickr.  First, Mr. B and I went to California to spend some time with my family.  We got to participate in a very cool charity event which my aunt helped to plan.  It was called Secret Saturday and it is put on by the Couples Against Leukemia foundation each year.  This event allows couples to travel to three to four unique experiences in Los Angeles and includes a silent auction over lunch.

This year, we saw an exciting acrobatics demonstration by the Trapeze School New York on the Santa Monica Pier.  We also visited the Automobile Driving Museum and the Sports Museum of Los Angeles – a vast private collection of sports memorabilia of all kinds.

World of Color

We also saw spent time with good friends and enjoyed a lovely day at Disneyland.  The new World of Color water/laser/light show was a big highlight of our visit to the parks.

After that, I stuck Mr. B on a plane and took myself up to Portland to visit my sister for a few days.

Lunch Break

In Portland, we ate lots of delicious food, went on a lovely hike, and did a bit of planning for a trip we’re taking together in August.

We also spent one day in Seattle, wandering through Pike Place, the Olympic Sculpture Park, and Capitol Hill with a good friend from college.  (Good food was had there as well.)

Me & J

Overall, it was a great way to spend my break before diving into school again.  Check out the rest of my pictures on Flickr!
